Brazil Court Blocks Whatsapp for 48 Hours. The Social Web Could Be Next. But Why?

Whatsapp is one of the most popular mobile messaging apps in the world. It is a US-based application having 900 million monthly active users.
Brazil is the fifth most populous country in the world and there millions of Whatsapp users here. Late Wednesday, Sao Bernardo do Campo court ordered the telecom operators to block the application. According to the state news agency the court ordered to block it, as the company has allegedly refused to cooperate with a separate lawsuit.

Henceforth, Whatsapp will be blocked for 48 hours from Thursday.
